Hi! My name is Emmy, I’m 18 years old, and I’ve been a ballerina since I was a baby. I first stood at the ballet barre when I was just four — back then it felt like a game, but pretty quickly the stage became my second home. Now I’m studying at the Academy of Choreography and preparing for my first big solo performance. It’s both terrifying and beautiful. Besides ballet, I’m passionate about painting — I love working with watercolor. In dance, I express movement, and in painting — stillness. It helps me find inner balance. Sometimes I paint portraits of my friends from the troupe or just people I see on the subway — I’m fascinated by capturing emotions. My dream is to one day open a free art school for people from disadvantaged backgrounds. I truly believe that art can change lives, just like it changed mine. Not everyone will become an artist, but everyone can discover themselves, feel seen, and realize they’re talented in their own way.
