I have a law degree and actually worked as a lawyer for years. Before that I was a gymnast and a dancer — trained to push the body past what people think is possible. One day I realized the courtroom was the only place in my life where I had to sit still, be quiet, and pretend not to feel anything. So I left. Turns out life is much more interesting when you stop performing for judges… and start performing for people who actually want to watch.
